Dear Makenzie 7 months!

Dear Makenzie,

 This month was a HUGE one! You are learning and growing so much, so fast! It is making Momma very sad because while every day you are growing tall and big and strong, every day the baby you once were is vanishing before my very eyes. You are so sweet and happy. Everyone we come across comments on your beauty and it's true you are so beautiful. You have a beautiful smile, eyes and most important a beautiful soul.

You are still such a good natured girl. You really only cry when you are hungry and when you are super super sleepy. I am not sure when it happened but you are sleeping all the way through the night! I always put you to sleep on your back but I think you are starting to prefer you side or your tummy which drives your momma crazy!

So lets see, right after you turned 6 months old we went for a stroller ride to the park and you played on the swings for the first time, and we even slid down the slide together! You really loved the swing though and we played on that for quite a while.



You also started eating Oatmeal! You didn't like plain so I tried putting some banana baby food in it and you were still not a fan. When we went to Aunt Missy's though I bought you Banana flavored and you LOVE it!

The next day was your first FOURTH of JULY! We walked to the park and listened to the band for a bit, then we went home and BBQ'd with Grandma Tina and Aunt Destiny! We watched the fireworks that night and they didn't upset or scare you a bit!





On July 7th you started sitting up all by yourself! We also went swimming at the big swimming pool and you LOVED it. You love floating around and playing in the water in your blue floaty!

You decided that you wanted to try to start standing on your own on the 13th! You pulled yourself up on the edge of your play pen! I was so proud of you. We had to drop your play pen and crib down so you don't fall out cause I looked over one night before falling asleep and you were trying to stand in your crib too!! Now you try to stand a lot in your play pen, and on Jack if you're sitting next to him!

You also got to ride on your first Carosel ride this month! You didn't hate it but I think we will wait before we do it again!


The next bit will be lost of pictures and adventures because you took your second plane trip to visit Aunt Missy and go to Sam and Mikes wedding in Connecticut! We drove to Chicago where you met your Uncle Bryan for the first time! Then we waited to board our plane to fly to Boston! From there we drove with Aunt Missy to her house in Connecticut!

You couldn't be bothered waiting anymore so you took a nap!


Once on the plane you went right back to sleep and was the perfect passenger


When we landed you woke up to watch airplanes!




When we got to Aunt Missy's it was straight to bed for us but you got up the next morning all bright eyed and busy tailed!


We hung out for a bit, you tried Green beans for the first time and then went to dinner at PF Changs (where you napped and then tried a LIME!)








The next day we hung out with Aunt Missy, you got to play in a Johnny Jump up and LOVED it! Meatball kitty also decided you weren't completely evil and let you pet him, then promptly ran away! Then went and met Cindy, Tommy and Steph! We went to dinner with Cindy and Steph and you played with lots of crunchy paper!









The next day was Sam's wedding, you went with Momma and Aunt Missy to get pedicures and manicures! You were such a good girl and all the little asian ( and spanish?) ladies (and the one gentlemen) just LOVED you!


You and Momma looking beautiful to go to the wedding. At the wedding you sucked on Pickles and Watermelon and really enjoyed them both!




You and I danced on the dance floor and then we watched the fireworks!!


The next day we went to brunch with Uncle Justin's family and a birthday party for Aunt Missy's cousin Shea where you were passed around and loved on by everyone, met Emma and we went swimming again!!




While we were there we notice that you had cut your very first TOOTH!




Our last full day in Connecticut we went to Burr Pond which is a lake with a nice little beach. We went with Aunt Missy, Liane and Stewie! You slept most of the time but when you were awake you played in the sand and even "swam" in the lake a bit

The next day we went home. You had a great trip but you were very ready to see your daddy. Our flight was not as quiet as the first and you were awake the WHOLE time!



Other exciting news on the way home you started saying Da Da Da Da and he was very excited to hear that when we got home!

What a fabulous big month you had! On to the next. I love you with every little bit of my heart and soul. You make everyday a beautiful one.

Dear Makenzie 6 months!

Dear Makenzie,

Your momma kind of failed big time this month as I am writing your 6 month letter directly before your 7 month letter. Month 6 was kind of a quiet month so I imagine this will just be lots of pictures!

On June 3rd we signed up for the summer reading program at the library! You loved looking at books and singing songs. Their program for little ones like you a bit different than the one Momma was in. We do 3 activities a day to get credit ( and we do them anyway so it was EASY!) In the end you "won" The Very Hungry Caterpiller!




On June 16th the start of the summer found us buying you your very own little pink pool. You were not so sure what to think of it. You didn't stay in long, I think maybe the water was a tad too cold!



You also got a  new treat this month called Mum Mum's ( we call them Num Nums) You Love them and are so proud that you can eat them by yourself!


You also started scooting yourself across the floor on your tummy! You have places to be and are not waiting around to get there!

Other than that it was a pretty quiet month, so here are tons of pictures!

Dear Makenzie 5 months!

Dear baby girl, 5 months already!! Hard to believe and yet here you are growing and learning and brightening every day!

You visited Dr. Gerst on May 2nd and he said that you are 14lbs 2oz and 25 3/4inchs long! Growing right as you should be!

Lots of new stuff for you this month! You tried sweet potatoes for the first time on May 2nd and LOVED them, you are your daddy's girl of course you loved them. You got the hang of eating off the spoon rather quickly and LOVE when its time to eat in your chair. We also tried out squash on the 12th and you seem to like that a bit as well. We haven't been giving you them regularly yet but will start next month. You also decided this month that there was just too much other stuff to see and that you couldn't be bothered with nursing. You still nurse at night and that makes momma happy. I have a feeling though that even that is on a downward slope as you are not prefering to just sleep lol

You have been working so hard at being mobile on your own too and on the 17th you rolled from your back to your tummy! You don't do it a lot yet but seem to like it for a few minutes when you do.


 We took your first trip to the library also!! You seem to already love books when Momma, Daddy or Aunt Destiny read to you and you love to look at them and turn the pages on your own. You're so smart already and I know that you will just continue to love to learn like Momma and Daddy. You know what lots of words mean already like "bottle" you squirm and squirm and kick your legs cause you know that means it's time to eat. You also know that you need to lift your legs and your bottom when we get out a new clean diaper and your old one is off. You also know that Daddy always says "Ejecto Butto" right before he takes your diaper off to hand you to momma for bath time! You know who Momma and Daddy, Jack and Duker are and you look at whoever is being talked about when their names are said!! Smarty pants!


Mother's day was this month and you and Daddy got Momma a board lol. Momma was confused when daddy said that but later found out what Daddy planned to do with that board. Daddy is still working hard on it but it will look something like this:


May was a big month for "Aunts" too :D you and Momma went to dinner with Aunt Shante and her boyfriend Stephen

Aunt Destiny came over a couple times and even hung out and baby sat you while Daddy hungout with Grandma in the garage. Momma was at work


Aunt Nikita is here from South Dakota and you got to meet her and your cousin Dominus who is just shy of a month younger than you! You're going to be the leader of the Makenzie, Dominus, Nykaila brat pack I think ;)



Momma and Daddy love you so very very much and can't wait to see what this next month brings (which Momma actually already knows cause she's late posting your letter and we're half through it ha!)
